Free School Meals

Could your children be entitled to free school meals? If you are on the following benefits you will be

able to claim a meal for your children:

  • Universal Credit if annual net earned income does not exceed £7,400 (£616.67 per month)
  •  Income support
  •  Income based Job Seekers Allowance or an Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

You will not quality for free school meals if you are claiming Working Tax Credit.

And your child’s school will get a payment from the Government of £900 per year.
