 School meals are provided free for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

The cost of a school meal for children in Pre-School, and Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 is £3.25 per day.

Free School Meals

Could your children be entitled to free school meals? If you are on the following benefits, you will be able to claim a meal for your children:

• Universal Credit if annual net earned income does not exceed £7,400 (£616.67 per month)
•  Income support
•  Income based Job Seekers Allowance or an Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Income related Employment and Support Allowance

• You will not quality for free school meals if you are claiming Working Tax Credit.
